We are a husband and wife team of animal lovers.
Kims' Background
After graduating from Animal Behavioural Science at Lincoln University during 2003, I searched for work in the animal industry. Sadly, this is a difficult field to enter in a professional financially rewarding role without animal testing.
I decided to continue my education to broaden my horizons at Nottingham Trent University gaining a further graduation in Environmental Science in 2005.
I found work in a laboratory, I found the work repetitive, though the team were great and I stayed for 2 years.
I landed a role managing animal welfare and biosecurity supporting the UK poultry industry. This role was to stay with me for 10 yrs. until redundancy hit!
I became a study director of non-target terrestrial plant research, I enjoyed the role, though, I didn't like the pressure.
I didn't know where to turn, the answer was starring me in the face!
I went to university to facilitate working with animals. I owe it to myself to make it happen!
I want to enrich animals lives, to develop their understanding of our world and improve their owners understanding of them.
Allowing them to reap the very best out of their lives, which is due to them.
Finally, my dream has come true in the form of One2One Pet Care.
My motivation primarily is to work around animals. I also believe; it is nice, to be nice. I enjoy helping people and animals.
Since opening my little business in 2019, I have updated my qualifications.
Added to my certificates and I follow APDT guidelines providing modern training methods.
Matthews Background:
Matthew graduated from Lincoln University in 2015 with a honours degree in Politics and Criminology.
Matthew has been a great support to me. Finding time to help me with the dog walking side of my services, despite managing a gardening business of his own -
Greenhill Gardening.
Matthew has extensive experience dog walking and is very knowledgeable having shadowed me since 2019.
Matthew is fascinated with canine behaviour and how dogs learn and given time he may have a few qualifications of his own up his sleeve.
Matthews abilities has enabled my business to reach and help more clients. For instance; he is always on hand for group walks, safe introductions and supports me with large reactive dogs.
On a personal note, Matthew is the fairest and kindest man I have ever met, that's why I married him.
He dedicates his life to helping others. He is easy to talk with, possessing a great sense of humour.
His fair and just manner is a cut above the rest and our doggy clients love him!
